Teacher Appreciation Month Spotlight: Kelly Haymond of Mountain Road ES!
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, we’re celebrating a school 2025 Teacher of the Year each day! Kindergarten teacher Kelly Haymond, a 24-year educator, is the Teacher of the Year for Mountain Road Elementary School!
“Each day, Ms. Haymond has a smile on her face and welcomes her students with a friendly ‘good morning’ or a hug. Her classroom always felt warm and welcoming, which is tremendously important for new kindergarten students,” shared a former student’s parent. “Ms. Haymond understands that while there is so much to be learned in kindergarten, many students look to their teacher primarily for nurturing, reassurance, and love. The support and encouragement she gives to her students is unwavering. She is always holding a hand, or listening to a story, or keeping her students in line! Her classroom management seems effortless (although I'm sure it’s not!)”
