What inspired you to become a teacher?
The love of children and their excitement for learning inspired me to become a teacher.  Their curiosity, energy, and joy motivate me to create a classroom environment where every student feels valued, supported, and excited to learn.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Absolutely the students!  Creating a class family each year and then watching the growth of the students from August to May is my favorite part of my job!

How do you elevate the excellence in your classroom?
I always set high expectations in my classroom.  I model what excellence looks like in behavior, effort, and academics.  I celebrate effort, persistence, and improvement, not just correct answers.  I try to provide a nurturing environment that students can feel safe and cared for so that excellence thrives.
